Lemongrass has been used throughout history for a variety of uses, from de-stressing the mind, to purifying the skin, so we thought… why stop now? 

 

This foot scrub contains Lemongrass Essential Oil, which contains purifying properties that make it great for use in cosmetic products. These properties aid in removing impurities and detoxifying the skin, leading to cleaner and clearer skin. We all want fresher feeling feet right? After using this foot scrub, you’re only going to want to wear sandals. 

 

Lemongrass is a natural antioxidant so acts as a defence against free radicals, which are nasty unstable cells in the body that attack our skin cells, and therefore preventing skin from damage. 

 

We have also used Apricot Kernel Oil, as it is so nourishing for our skin. It is an emollient and therefore absorbs easily, without leaving behind an oily residue, and creates a moisture sealing barrier, keeping your feet softer and more hydrated for longer. It is also super rich in essential fatty acids that work wonders for keeping our skin soft and buttery smooth.

 

We have used a mixture of Sea Salt and Dead Sea salt in our scrubs. Salt is really useful for exfoliating as the gritty edges get to work on any rough patches. We use Dead Sea Salt, as well as Sea Salt, as it has less Sodium Chloride than normal Sea Salt, which in turn means there is more room for other minerals, such as calcium and magnesium. This means that it has healing benefits as well as helping to exfoliate, so can help to improve the function of the skin barrier, making it stronger for next time. Using a combination of the two means that we can get all the best bits from the minerals of the Dead Sea, but also retain the main purpose of exfoliation, through the pure salt from the Sea, therefore helping your feet feel good as new.

 

Another of the main exfoliators within our scrubs is Sugar. It is great at offering a gentle exfoliation, as the small particles work really well at rubbing away dead skin cells. This is why we use sugar within our foot scrubs, to make the most of these natural benefits. Sugar is also a natural humectant which means that it literally draws moisture from the surroundings and channels it into the skin, helping to keep your skin much more hydrated. Combined with the other ingredients we’ve chosen it offers your skin a fantastic exfoliating treatment, shedding off the old skin cells and hydrating the new ones, so your feet shall be jumping with joy.

 

Other ingredients include: Olive Oil, which is rich in skin-loving vitamins; Tea Tree Essential Oil, for effective healing; Eucalyptus Essential Oil, for its anti-inflammatory traits; and Grapefruit Seed Extract, which is high in antioxidants.
